We are excited to announce the merger of the Beaches area's best orthodontists, Dr. Kevin O'Shaughnessy and Dr. Zubad Newaz, as Ponte Vedra Orthodontics! Our office is proud to boast two of the most impressive résumés that Northeast Florida has to offer, with capabilities ranging from cleft and craniofacial specialization in young children, to braces, invisalign and expansion therapy for all ages, to 3D diagnostic imaging expertise, to the analysis and treatment of TMJ and sleep/breathing disorders. We continue a tradition of excellence in our location originally started by Dr. Randy Hayes in the early 90's before he passed the torch to Dr. O'Shaughnessy, who has been in the location for a number of years, to now grow into a capacity to add Dr. Newaz, a dual-specialized Orthodontist and Oral Radiologist to the team.

Dr. Newaz is a dual-trained specialist in Orthodontics and Oral & Maxillofacial Radiology and is one of only a handful such individuals in the world (with this particular combination). He takes particular interest in comprehensive orthodontics centered around breathing as well as the diagnosis, analysis and treatment of TMJ and sleep/breathing disorders. There happen to be many intersections between orthodontic problems, TMJ problems, and sleep/breathing problems. If left untreated, sleep disorders and TMJ disorders can lead to a decrease in quality of life. A detailed, thoughtful personalized evaluation is absolutely imperative to ensure maximum improvement.
